Meeting and building relationships with business contacts can be a real challenge especially if you're starting from scratch. This networking event will make it easy and enjoyable for you to meet like-minded people in an informal setting.
The day will kick off with a 'Mindset of the Entrepreneur' workshop from Steph Cutler of Making Lemonade. This interactive session looks at what makes successful people successful, with a particular focus on entrepreneurs. The message of the session is that successful entrepreneurs share certain traits and attributes. Success does not know; upbringing, academic qualifications, background or disability, these can all be overcome with the right attitude and attributes.
After lunch Shirley Spong from Latitude Consortium 'Starting a business; taking the first steps?', will be giving tips on how to start, who can help you, funding and finance assistance available, and the next steps for taking your idea forward. There will also be one to one sessions available from a Business Advisor and Benefits Specialist and an exhibition of business support organisations with specialist disability programs
