The overall objective of the Disability Employment Network is to improve the employment prospects of people with disabilities. It does this by offering information, support and advice as well as access to a network of organisations and services with a specialist focus on disability.
The primary audiences for Disability Employment Network are:
- Jobseekers - to help them with their pathway into sustainable employment; and
- Employers - adrressing their concerns relating to recruitment, retention, awareness, best practice and policies
How you can get involved
There are several ways you can get involved:
- Promote your services and events on this website. This way, others will know about what is on offer. The Disability Support Network works with statutory bodies, charities, government and private sector organisations to ensure disabled people are aware of the full range of services and support.
- Share your good news stories to inspire others.
- Invite us to an event – we’d be delighted to take a spot at a conference or event to promote the value disabled people bring to the workplace and dispel many of the myths that exist about disabled workers.
- If you are an employer adopt the ‘two ticks’ disability symbol
- Partcipate in the forum
- Send us your comments about how we can improve this website and the service
